Play synopsis:
Welcome to the zany and unpredictable world of Forkman, a wacky character who was unfortunately born with a metal fork for a hand! He is the host of an all string marionette cabaret, featuring such incredible acts as Svetlana the Russian dancer/tightrope walker, and a very peculiar Giant Magician, among others. This action packed comedy of errors will keep you enraptured and laughing on the edge of your seat. The Forkman cabaret guarantees to be an unforgettable experience!
Information:
This is a formal theatre show, with a fully equipped and very elaborate stage with music, lights and curtains. It is 45 minutes long, though we can also offer a 30 minute version. It involves 14 traditional string marionettes, and 2 puppeteers, and is designed to be interactive and engage the children. In the case of birthdays, a special gift is offered for the birthday boy/girl. The show can be viewed by small audiences, or larger ones, up to a maximum of 150-200 people, depending on the venue.
The play can be performed anywhere, but will require some space- the stage measures 6 feet high, 6 feet deep, and 10 feet wide, so the room should accommodate that as well as the children. Electricity is also required, and the mounting takes 1 ½ hours and the dismounting takes 1 hour.
